Bill Connors
Senior Pastor
I was originally called by EHBC to serve in a part-time capacity with the student ministry in September of 1999, and then called into full-time student ministry in May, 2001, where I served until called by EHBC to serve as the Senior Pastor in January, 2018. My wife, Melanie, and I have been married since 1991, and we have two wonderful daughters. I have a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, and received my Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May, 2017. I have a passion for teaching Scripture, and helping people understand how what we learn in its pages applies to our lives today.
My favorite singular verse of Scripture is Romans 6:11:
“In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God through Christ Jesus.”
If we are in Christ, we died to sin. But just as Christ rose from the grave in victory and ascended to God, so we have been raised from the death of our sinful natures and have been made right with God through Christ. This verse has always helped me to remember my position with God, and how I got there.

Trevor Clark
Associate Pastor of Youth and Families
Hi there! I’m Trevor Clark, the youth pastor at Eastern Hills. That means I get to work with middle school and high school students! I was in high school when I became a Christian, so this time of life means a lot to me. I love to help students get excited about the truth of the Gospel.
What else? I’ve been married to Amanda since 2013. We have three children – Amelia, Davis, and Peter. We love hanging out with people. I’m also working on a PhD in New Testament Studies from Gateway Seminary. The Bible is the coolest book to study and Jesus is the best person to follow, and we are part of a great team here at Eastern Hills.
Our motto: “Surprise the World, Linked Together in Him.”
Please join us for some of the events listed on the student page. Bring a friend. Find out more. We’re excited to meet you!
My favorite verse is probably John 11:27, “ She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.” This reminds me who Jesus is no matter what life’s circumstances happen to be.

My life verse of assurance is 1 John 5:13: “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

Brothers I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Liana Hill
Director of online media
I have been attending Eastern Hills for over 15 years. I taught at EHCA for 12 years and have been involved in various ministries at EHBC over the years. I have a heart for children’s ministry and my favorite is VBS! I love seeing how God works in children’s lives during the VBS week! I began as the Director of Online Media in 2022 and I am enjoying working with the EHBC staff and learning more about design.
I have been married to Dan since 2011 and we adopted our son, Parker, when he was born in 2017. I love being a mom and wife. We are currently trying to grow our family again through adoption.
My favorite Bible Passage is from Joshua 1:7-9
Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go. This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Tim Allen
PROJECT MANAGER/ Facilities Director
The Lord led our family to become members of the EHBC church body in 2018, and I formally joined the EHBC staff in January 2023. I have been helping with maintenance/construction requirements at EHBC/EHCA since my oldest daughter was in 1st grade back in 2011. My wife (Amy) and I were married on June 12, 1992 in Omaha, Nebraska (we were high school sweethearts) and we traveled all over the world with the US Navy for 20 years until I was forced to retire in 2011. We have two beautiful girls: Alila (2005) and Zoie (2008). Alila is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines and Zoie is a dual credit student at CNM pursuing an Associates Degree in Business. In addition to working part-time for the church, I spend countless hours working on never ending home improvement projects at our home. As soon as I finish everything on the house, we will probably end up selling and moving on. I never intended to do anything more than off and on voluntary maintenance work at EHBC; however, the Lord would not let me walk away from the facility maintenance challenges that I witnessed and the significant need that existed for an overall master plan for future construction at this facility. I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve you all and our family is thankful to be able to call Albuquerque the city we have lived in the longest as a family!

Michelle Smith
choir director
My family and I have attended EHBC for 14 years. I have taught at EHCA for 17 years as the music teacher and just recently, preschool teacher. I play keyboard on the praise band and in 2022, began directing the adult choir. I have such a passion for the worship arts ministry. I believe music has the power to evoke emotions, bring people together, and create a sense of community. The Bible recognizes the importance of music in our lives and encourages us to use it as a form of worship and prayer.
I have been married to Garrett since 2007. We have two daughters -Ali and Gracie. I love spending time with my husband and girls. I hold a bachelor degree in music education from Wayland Baptist University.
My favorite verse is Ephesians 3:17-20
" and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God's love, and to know Christ's love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us."

Amanda Bowman
ehbc kids curriculum coordinator
Hello future friends and family! I’m Amanda Bowman (obviously) and I help prep curriculum for our babies through our 5th graders! You’ll usually see me on Sunday Mornings around the kids area talking to the kids, teachers, and parents! My husband and I joined EHBC in 2018 after moving to NM from AR. We fell in love with this church’s culture, the togetherness we found, the theologically sound preaching and teaching, and the opportunities to serve as well as learn from some pretty amazing people. I love kids ministry because when you open the door for kids to ask questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, and church, you get some amazing (and hard to answer) ones! Our daughter, M, is in the Sandbox (Preschool Class) now and it blows my mind the things she learns and questions she asks each week. I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you have to the best of my ability!
While I have several verses that I tend to come back to again and again (Psalm 78, 1 Col 1:13-14) the two that are on my mind most are 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
and Mark 9:24b “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
