Eastern Hills Christian Academy is a Christ centered private school located in a secure education wing of our church campus. We are state accredited through ACSI and Cognia and home to over 105 students from preschool through 8th grade.
Our outstanding faculty is the heart of our school. Our children thrive in our nurturing environment where our certified teachers seek to serve each child individually out of their love for the Lord. Each day includes focused, Biblical instruction. We hold whole-school chapel services twice a month with praise and worship led by our middle school choir. Every subject is taught from a biblical worldview and scripture is integrated throughout our curriculum. Our low student to teacher ratio provides the opportunity for individualized care and instruction. The academic success of our program is evident in our standardized test scores with our students outperforming the national averages as well as in the success our graduates have had in both private and public high schools throughout our community.
We offer preschool and pre-kindergarten programs with options for 5-day full day and 5-day half day, as well as before and after school care. Our early childhood programs focus on the development of social skills, large/fine motor skills, a love for literacy, and for each other. Our early education program meets and supersedes New Mexico Early Learning Guidelines (NMELG) and has earned CYFD’s highest 5-star rating. Our pre-kindergarten students exit our program confident and prepared to enter kindergarten.
Our school utilizes research-based curriculum across all grade levels and integrates individualized programs such as Accelerated Reading. Our elementary students are offered many opportunities to enrich their education with weekly classes in Spanish, PE, Art, and Music. Our middle school students are offered opportunities to enhance their core classes with electives offered in Spanish, Speech and Debate, Art, PE, and Choir. We also offer optional after school programs, such as Chess Club for both elementary and middle school students and Drama Club for middle school students.
Our middle school students also have the opportunity to participate in our athletics program, competing in a variety of sports such as golf, archery, tennis, volleyball, track and basketball. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, our elementary students were given the opportunity to participate in cross country track and basketball. As much as we celebrate the many championship titles our teams hold, the emphasis to our student athletes is to focus on character first and, as we teach in every aspect of life, they know their purpose is to bring God glory through each practice and game.
Additional information can be found on our school website. If you are interested in partnering with us to educate your children as they are rooted in Scripture and growing in Christ, we invite you to call or email our Administrator Hollie Brooks. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our school.
